Omega Crom gear up to unleash their signature genre of ripping metal on the world with their debut album, Blood, Steel and Fire, which drops officially April 5th on Reversed Records.

The Vancouver-based metal lords have been an integral part of the underground scene for many years, building a solid following thanks to their self-created genre of Ripping Metal: a progressive blend of power metal, aggressive death, shred and thrash.

Produced in collaboration with Juno award-winning engineer Rob Shallcross (Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole, GWAR, Darkest Hour, Fattooth). Omega Crom’s debut features their classic, seamless combination of punchy rhythms, melodic guitars, ripping solos, flowing harmonies, intense bass guitar attacks and relentless double kick thrash beats.

BAND SET TO RELEASE “SABOTAGE” DIGITAL EP MARCH 1st

CANCER BATS have posted their new video for their cover of the Beastie Boys classic “Sabotage”. If you want to check out the video, head over to www.cancerbats.com/sabotage. Once you get to the site, you have to do a little work to see the video, but it is well worth it. Cancer Bats want you to share their video with all of your friends, through your Facebook page and Twitter. You can do this by clicking the Twitter or Facebook icon on the bottom of the page. Once you share the video through retweeting or posting it on your Facebook page, the video will unlock and you can watch Cancer Bat’s hilarious video for “Sabotage”.

Lead singer Liam Cormier had the following to say about the video and the use of social networking to spread the video everywhere, “Our new video for Sabotage is up now on the World Wide Web! We wanted to give the video exclusively to all of our fans through our Facebook, twitter and MySpace for all the support they’ve given us since the beginning. We’re all about spreading the word through these sites and our fans cus this is where the real DIY word of mouth spirit still exists these days. It’s like trading tapes back in the day, but now it’s trading digitally with your homies on the other side of the world!”

CANCER BATS have also just announced that they will be releasing a digital EP ahead of their album release. The EP will contain the tracks “Scared To Death” and their take on the Beastie Boys’ classic, “Sabotage”. It will be available from iTunes as of March 1st. The songs on the EP will be from their forthcoming release Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones due to be released on April 13th.

Cancer Bats will be hitting the road in Canada with Billy Talent and Against Me this March. You can view the tour dates below.

Well the Olympics have arrived and so have the guys in the Limo. They left Victoria February 11th on the 9pm ferry.

Brydon and Ira are travelling to Vancouver and Whistler to conduct interviews during the 2010 Winter Olympics. What makes them unique is their gimmick.

They are using a Limo as their backdrop and accomodation. They will be living in the Limo and uploading HD video interviews to Youtube – channel “livinginalimo” and this website www.livinginalimo.com. They plan to eat and sleep in the Limo for the entire Olympics while attending special events and conducting interviews.

Tune in as we post their antics, interviews and fun. This buzz has attracted several local sponsors and media hype.

Included in the media line-up are radio spots during the Olympics on the ZONE 93.1 FM Victoria and KISM 92.9 Washington, and television interviews with Global News and CHEK TV. Let’s see if they become the media darlings they hope to be.

Vancouver based Reversed Records is proud to present it’s Canadian Metal Olympic Team at Pub 340 on February 18th. Taking the stage is Vancouver’s very own power metal thrasher’s Omega Crom alongside label mates Montreal’s Fattooth for their Too Cold to F@*k Canadian Tour & Vancouver’s Mr. Plow. Competing in various competitions of havoc, The Reversed Records team will see Mr.Plow bulldozing downhill skiers, Fattooth’s Hucifer giving new meaning to Skeleton and Omega Crom slaying hockey pucks with Conan The Barbarian.
